485 China companies went to the United States to participate in CES, which was higher than that in 2021
On the 5th local time, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest technology exhibition, opened in Las Vegas, USA. According to a report in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun on the 5th, the American Consumer Technology Association, the organizer of CES, said that this year, due to the rebound after the epidemic, the number of exhibitors and groups increased by 40% compared with 2022, reaching about 3,200. However, the scale of exhibitors is still not as good as that in 2020 (about 4,400) before the epidemic.

South Korea's "Asia Daily" reported on the 5th that the CES exhibition was held offline for the first time after the epidemic. The exhibitors came from more than 170 countries (regions), nearly 1,000 more than last year, of which more than 1,000 were exhibiting for the first time. This year's CES exhibition covers an area of 186,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 26 football fields. The American Consumer Technology Association predicts that the number of CES participants will exceed 100,000, double the 45,000 people attracted by online exhibitions last year.
The slogan of this year's CES exhibition is "Immerse in it", and the key words include sustainability, digital health and meta-universe. There will be 323 exhibitors from the top 500 companies in the world, focusing on all cutting-edge technologies and innovative ideas. Global technology giants such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Panasonic and Sony will all show their innovative achievements. South Korea's "Asia Daily" said that the Korea Information and Communication Technology Industry Association said that 550 Korean companies will participate in this CES exhibition, second only to the United States (1484). In 2020, more than 1,200 enterprises from China participated in the exhibition, but since then, it has been greatly reduced due to the trade friction between China and the United States and the COVID-19 epidemic. In 2021, only 204 enterprises from China participated in the exhibition.
According to Nikkei Asia, it will be the first time in three years that China participants can travel to the United States relatively easily. According to the official CES exhibitor list, 485 China companies will participate this year, which is higher than that in 2021. China brands such as TCL, Hisense and Konka are all on the list of exhibitors, but many brands will participate through their American subsidiaries. A director of a Chinese enterprise participating in the exhibition said: "Many China companies see the urgency of strengthening their global influence because they see the huge foreign market demand." According to the analysis, it is expected that Asian companies, including China companies, will have strong performances, and this exhibition is also an opportunity for exhibitors to get rid of the gloom after the general downturn in the global technology industry last year.
